Our missions camping season only lasts for a few short weeks.  Camp WorldLight staffers arrive at Lake Yale on Sunday June 5^th.  They will have one week to get everything ready for campers to arrive on Monday June 13^th.  Week 2 campers arrive on June 20.  For weeks three and four camp staff will load everything up and head to the Shalimar Retreat Center at Panama City Beach.  Campers will arrive on June 27^th and July 18^th. Even though the time is relatively short the impact made on lives can last an eternity.

They need our prayers….no, they are desperate for our prayers.  They need for every detail of each week to be brought before the Father with fervency.  Our foremothers left us a wonderful missions camping legacy that dates back 70 years! God used strong missions camping experiences to help shape many of us.  Please join with me in praying for the generations that come after us – may we leave them a legacy of hope and promise.

Please pray for our staff to have a passion for God’s Word and a passion for urgently proclaiming the call to take the Gospel to all the nations.  Pray for their strength and stamina and that they will not be hot, tired or thirsty. Pray for wisdom and creativity as they put the final touches on the plans.

Intercede on behalf of our churches.  May they understand the impact a missions camp can have on their young ones.  Ask God to call out leaders and parents who will be willing to bring their children and youth to camp.  Ask God to provide the financial resources necessary to send children and youth to camp.

Pray especially for the children and youth who will come to camp.  Pray that they will turn their heads and hearts toward God – pray for their salvation.  Pray that God will place within them a hunger and thirst for His Word that leads to a burning desire to take the Gospel to all nations, tongues and tribes.  Pray that God will call out many laborers for His harvest field.  Pray that God will call them to live all of their days with a heart for reaching all people with His Good News.  Pray that they will learn to love the Story and that they will love to tell it often and tell it well.
